Memphis Exhibit @ Gallery 56

Next weekend (Oct. 2, 2009) is the opening of my show in Memphis at Gallery 56, from 5-8 pm. I'm very excited about the body of work I'll be presenting, a mixture of cityscapes and musicians. You can preview most of the works at www.brentsanders.com. Hope to see you there!

Spring is Here

Spring is here and all is in bloom. The year has been off to a busy start and seems to be gaining momentum. I'm currently finishing a commission for Blue Cross of Tennessee. They've built a beautiful new campus on the top of Cameron Hill here in Chattanooga. I will post the piece on the site in the near future. Cornerstone Bank commissioned a painting at the first of the year as well. The 4' x 6' canvas is featured in the lobby of their corporate headquarters and the image will be the cover art for their upcoming annual report. This October (2nd) I will have a solo exhibit in Memphis at Gallery 56. I'll post more information as we get closer to the date. Last but not least, 4 Bridges Arts Festival is coming up (April 18 & 19). One of the few outdoor shows that I do each year and being a hometown show makes it even that much better. Hope to see you there.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Things are going well, just finished a large piece for Cornerstone Bank (on website) and United Way added a piece to their corporate office. My next exhibit will be at 4 Bridges Arts Festival in Chattanooga, the dates are April 18th and 19th. In May my wife and I will be headed to San Francisco. I believe the city will yield some great subject matter. Feel free to email me if you have any suggestions. I hope all is well and until next time.

Atlanta Arts Festival

The Atlanta Arts Festival was a great success. As always we love spending time in Atlanta and really enjoyed meeting with everyone at the show. Southern hospitality at it's finest.

Website: Bigger & Better

I'm excited to announce my new and improved website. The larger layout is easier on the eyes and allows much more of the detail to show. I've also included some examples of recent collectors interiors to show some of the works hanging. My next show will be the Atlanta Arts Festival in Piedmont Park (September 12-14) and 17th Street Show, also in Atlanta (September 27-28). I will also be exhibiting a piece in the Art.a.ma.jig auction at Tanner Hill Gallery (July 24) to benefit the Arts and Education Council of Chattanooga. As far as upcoming subjects, I'll be spending a week in Chicago photographing the Windy City with fellow artist and longtime friend Eric Riggs. You've got to love Chicago: great town, great architecture, and most of all great people. Hope that everyone is having a great summer.

4 Bridges was a great success...

I would like to thank everyone who stopped by at 4 Bridges Arts Festival last week. This years show was very successful thanks to existing and new collectors alike. I'm currently in St. Augustine to deliver and install a painting, as well as a little R&R. My next show will be the Atlanta Arts Festival in September at Piedmont Park.

New York City

My wife and I just returned from a trip to New York. We went to visit Art Expo and to photograph the city for my next series of work, and as you can imagine there was inspiration at every corner. I loved the tempo of the city and in spite of the stereotype of the rude New Yorker, I found them to be very friendly and welcoming. One of the many highlights for me was walking across the Brooklyn Bridge...I've seen the Ken Burns' documentary dozens of times. I've already begun the series and will have a few them to exhibit at my next showing which is in Chattanooga at the 4 Bridges Arts Festival (April 19-20).
